If I will still need to have a separate drone instrument, it is probably not worth messing with, but I would consider the messing if the drone were available.Īny chance anyone out there has used one of these or any other bagpipe sound set? Has anyone used anything? I have seen mention of the Universal Piper and the Fred Morrison Sound, but it is not clear to me if this is actually what I am looking for or if it would be a reasonable amount of effort to hook something like this up to Sibelius. I have no idea if the latter is even possible, but it would be lovely to not have to add the drone instrument. I can use the General MIDI bagpipe sounds, and add a separate instrument playing drones but a) long tied notes stop playing after some undetermined but not all that long time and b)it would be nice to be able to find a virtual instrument that contained its own drone under the notes.
